[attr="class","iden"] [attr="class","title"]Identification Full Name: Drake Crosswind Tenebrae (Pseudonym)| Drakerios Crosiare Windrend Tenebrus vel Puiden Aliases: "The Living Sword", "Verdant Edge Drake", "The Beast of Blades", Red, Crown Prince Drakerios, Your Highness Date of Birth: June 5 Zodiac Sign: Gemini Sexuality: Pansexual Crew: N/A Alignment: Neutral Personal Jolly Roger: N/A [attr="class","appear"] [attr="class","title"]Appearance Height: 5'9" Weight: 135 lbs Hair Color: Deep crimson, let hang long, to mid-back Eye Color: Deep forest green Attire: Coming from a land that favored function over fashion, Drake's attire is fittingly simple. On his legs are bright green leggings, ending underneath thick, high brown boots. His chest is covered by a similar green shirt, which is then covered by a thick green leather coat, closed around his torso, with a long, flowing section below. Around his wrists are pale green bandages, paired with a gold ring on each finger of his left hand. Finally, resting atop his head is a very fancy green hat, perfectly matched to his coat, which he despises anyone touching. Specifically, the reason for this is the somewhat small crown hidden beneath, which he refuses to show, and refuses to remove for anything short of sleep or shower. Abnormalities: Under the bandages on his arms are a pair of marks, or rather, brands, one depicting two fangs crossed, representing the hunter bound to find the Eight Branches, and the other a beastly face made of blades, representing his status as the "Beast of Blades". As well, behind his left ear is a small, crown-shaped birthmark, denoting his legacy as the crown prince of his homeland, Suurien Puiden Maa. |

[attr="class","bg"] [attr="class","title"]Background Many, many years ago, before the reign of pirates, before even the formation of the World Government, there was an island steeped in legend. A land of massive trees, an entire small continent covered almost entirely in dense jungle. However, this quaint land was far from peaceful. Residing among the trees was an ancient terror, known as the "Endbringer", a creature capable of destroying the entire island on it's own. So, in order to protect their homeland, eight sages gathered together, each baring a weapon forged of a fragment of their soul, an elemental spirit's energy, and steel collected from the body of the country's legendary hero, the first Beast of Blades, Makiros vel Decrue. Using the eight weapons, dubbed by the sages as the "Eight Branches of Creation", the Endbringer was sealed deep within the island's mass, within the sacred volcano, and beneath an eight-layered seal. Upon the erection of the seal, the sages decided it would be best to scatter the weapons across the globe, to make sure that, if one wanted to destroy them, they couldn't destroy them all at once, and instantly break the seal. So, nine shrines were erected, one for each weapon to be returned to, should the seal weaken, and one in which resided Makiros, who acted as a living lock and key for the seal. For the remainder of his life, Makiros stayed within the shrine, protecting the seal on the beast, and thus keeping his beloved homeland safe. However, Makiros was, of course, only human. Eventually, his body began to wither, and eventually, he passed. His shrine was sealed, his body mummifying naturally from his spiritual energy, and, eventually, decayed into dust. However, in his place lied a single fruit, the source of his power, the Supa Supa no Mii. So, for a century afterwards, the shrine remained untouched by human hands, and much of the story, written upon the walls of the shrine, was damaged by age, and the forces of nature. On the 100th anniversary of the death of Makiros, the current king of Suurien Puiden Maa, King Dukos Veritas Dugal Tenebrus vel Puiden, decided to open the shrine, to place offerings to the legendary hero, and read the history and prophecy of the ancients. Within, he read the prophecy, which stated "At the reawakening of the Beast of Blades, the signal shall sound to the heavens, as the harbinger of the end comes forth." Believing this to mean that the Beast of Blades was that which would bring calamity to his land, he made a declaration that the shrine would be guarded to protect what was left of the prophecy. However, he left the duty of cleaning and maintaining the shrine to his son, the crown prince Drakerios, who, at the time, was merely a child of fifteen. All went smoothly for a few years, until one day, Drakerios, who had not yet eaten, had gotten very hungry whilst cleaning the shrine. Seeing the sacred fruit on the altar, he quickly looked around to see if anyone was looking, before slipping over to take a bite. Nearly vomiting the fruit back up, he'd alerted the guards, who noticed the fruit and sent word to the king. Fearing the worst, King Dukos brought his son into the castle, questioning him on what happened. Upon explaining, Drakerios's body began to sharpen, like the blade of a sword, and small knife-like blades sprouted from various points on his body. Panicked, King Dukos decreed that someone must be sent to collect the legendary weapons created to prevent the ancient calamity, and that the one who brought about it's reawakening, his own son, be banished from the land. Drakerios, however, suggested another idea. He would go to find the weapons, and bring them to the eight shrines to reform the seal on the ancient calamity. So, he began to prepare to leave his homeland, to leave the life he'd lead for fifteen years. He was given a year to prepare before he would be forced to leave, and not permitted to return without the Eight Branches. So, for the last four years, Drakerios, now going by the name Drake, has been travelling the North Blue, trying to find some means of permanent transport to find all Eight Branches of Creation. |
