Attire: She always wears a specially-tailored outfit strongly resembling a nun habit. It covers almost every inch of her skin except for her face and hands, complete with pant legs attached to the outfit under her skirt. The outfit is mostly white, with black on her chest, arms and mid-legs. The outfit has several crosses adorning it, most prominently on the front of her skirt, on her chest, running down both of her arms and on the front of her collar.
Abnormalities: She has a phrase in Latin tattooed across her chest (where no one will ever see it) that reads "reflexio est salus. ave dominus."

Alise was raised on a ship, a floating monastery of sorts. All of the children aboard were raised with a strict morality and belief system, with most of the girls being forced to wear similar outfits to what Alise still wears to this day. Although Alise got out lucky; most of the girls were sewn into the outfits so they could never remove them. Alise at least retained the ability to remove her clothing, due to good behavior. When Alise was nine, the Marines boarded the ship and arrested the people running it for indoctrinating the kids. Alise was taken in aboard a Marine ship as cabin girl.

She was forced to wear the Marine uniform, but in her free time, she wore the old outfit from before. She liked it, and the Marines never really had the heart to question her about it. She also began developing occasional antisocial tendencies. The vice-captain of the ship she was on began teaching her how to box as a present when she became a sailor, upgrading from cabin girl.

Upon learning the Marine doctrine of absolute justice, Alise began upholding it in her own life, in her own way. She would often institute her own punishments on captives, which got her chastised repeatedly. She found a Devil Fruit on a pirate ship and ate it immediately, believing the power could make her better able to serve the Marines. She spent the next three years of her life becoming accustomed to the powers, and also rose to the rank to Captain during this time. She was 21 at the time.

She entered the Grand Line on duty, working at Enies Lobby. She was transferred to commanding a battleship, and proved herself there by taking down several pirate crews, earning herself more promotions. Once she had her own ship, her antisocial periods increased in length and frequency to their current stage. While in the Grand Line, she managed to finally impress the Marines enough to be promoted  to Vice-Admiral.
