Attire: Faust's outfit is relatively simple, forgoing the dress suits that other high-ranking Marines wear in favor of baggy, black trousers tucked into a pair trench boots with a leather belt wrapped around his waist. Over his upper body he wears a black tangzhuang with green lining that is worn open at the front, exposing his torso. Finally, draped across his shoulders is his Marine's Justice Coat, worn like a cape.
Abnormalities: He possesses an entirely mechanical right arm made from a black metal. It is roughly the same size as his normal arm, but is designed so that he can equip other weapons onto it.

• ✘ Faust, despite his status as an Admiral, does feel a certain insecurity that often surfaces when, after a tough battle, he notices that some of the people under his command have died. He always feels regretful when he finds one of his subordinates has been killed and often chastises himself for not being a better leader. In addition, he is often insecure about his own love life. Now that he has reached his fifties, he knows he isn’t the young man he once was and worries if he may have missed his chance.

He’s the kind of leader who would take a bullet for his subordinates, or indeed an entire firing squad if at all possible. • Faust was born on the island of Micqueot, where his parents worked as wine-sellers.
• At the age of 7 however, Faust was orphaned due to a pirate attack on the island. Faust escaped death by hiding and soon afterwards was placed in an orphanage.
• Although initially he put a distance between himself and others, Faust ended up befriending the other orphans in due time.
• Growing up, Faust and his friends – Dieter, Alexis, Gerlinde and Edmund – would frequently find themselves running down to the Marine Base to see the Marines training in mock battles. Having lost their parents to pirates, all five of the children looked up to the Marines who fought Pirates.
• The five children would often train together, deciding that they wanted most of all to become Marines themselves one day.
• When the children turned 16, however, they would be given their chance to prove their skills in the most unfortunate way. While the Marine ships were out from the island doing mock battles, a Pirate ship attacked the island. Scared by what might happen to their island, the group of five banded together to help fight off the Pirates.
• The group of five managed to aid the Marines in holding the Pirates off until reinforcements arrived, but damage was unfortunately done. Edmund was killed in the battle, butchered by one of the Pirates. The group was distraught.
• Despite Edmund’s death, the group eventually decided to join the Marines regardless to honour his sacrifice. After a year of training, the group was enlisted in the Marines.
• The group proved themselves to be powerful fighters with great teamwork skills, working together to fight off any Pirates that would dare target their home. By the time Faust reached the age of 20, he and his friends had proved themselves talented enough to be promoted, allowing them to go out on patrols throughout North Blue.
• Under the tutelage of their new Captain, the group of four helped to hunt down and capture Pirates throughout North Blue. Despite North Blue’s reputation as the most dangerous of the four Blues, the four managed to gain notice by taking down a corrupt arms manufacturer selling weapons on the black market. As a result, Faust was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant at age 24, placing him just below the Captain.
• At the request of their Captain, who saw a great potential in the four Marines, the group was reassigned to the Grand Line and placed in the care of the Marines’ G-2 Base.
• in the Grand Line, the group faced even tougher challenges before them. The pirates of the Grand Line were made of tougher stuff than anything they had known in North Blue. For six years the group the group fought tooth and nail to survive, with Faust rising to the rank of Rear-Admiral in the process. But unfortunately, some things had to give.
• At the age of 30 Faust participated in a battle alongside his friends. The group had been called to Jaya to put down a large riot caused by Pirates. In the struggle, Faust lost his arm and Alexis was shot by a Pirate and later bled to death. Following the incident, Faust’s heart began to burn with a hatred for Pirates stronger than he’d ever known.
• From this point on, Faust exercised much more brutal methods against his opponents. He was a much more ruthless fighter, not content with fighting Pirates until he could be certain he had slaughtered every last one of them. During this time his bond with his two remaining friends was stressed by their own worries for him. Nevertheless, unwilling to abandon Faust, the continued to stand by him.
• By the age of 35, Faust’s hard work earned him the rank of Vice-Admiral. He was now no longer following orders but leading his own crew, with Gerlinde and Dieter working as his personal assistants. Faust and his crew were now reassigned to the New World’s G-5 Base, where they faced dangers even greater than before. Incredibly powerful Pirates ruled the New World and Faust was now devoted to hunting them down.
• For the next few years Faust and his crew worked hard, fighting dangerous, infamous Pirates across the New World. Unfortunately, Faust would once more face tragedy. During another battle, his crew was assaulted by a pirate crew allied with one of the Yonkou. In the battle both Gerlinde and Dieter were killed, with Faust only narrowly escaping the battle with his life. Returning home had been a sorrowful affair that left the Vice-Admiral not only seething with anger but filled with despair.
• At the age of 40, Faust received an order he would never forget. One of the Admirals had pressed the Golden Den Den Mushi, ordering a Buster Call. As one of the five Vice-Admirals closest to the island, Faust was sent to take part in the Buster Call alongside his crew. Despite the fierce, burning hatred in his heart that Faust possessed for criminals, even he couldn’t help but feel disgusted with what he saw.
• The island was razed to the ground in a sea of flames without any mercy. Not only were the criminals slaughtered but so were the innocent. During the midst of the battle a refugee ship was blown up by one of the other Vice-Admirals for no other reason than a paranoid delusion that criminals were using it to escape. By the time it was over, the island had been reduced to ashes and Faust felt sick to his stomach.
• Over the next year, Faust debated leaving the Marines. He had seen and done far too much in his lifetime and a large part of him wanted nothing more than to resign. He had joined the Marines hoping to bring Justice, but in the Buster Call he had seen none. However, Faust eventually came around, deciding that to resign was to simply ignore a problem.
• In honour of his friends, as well as those sacrificed in the Buster Call, Faust decided to dedicate himself to eradicating the doctrine of Absolute Justice that had blinded him for so many years. Knowing that he needed more authority to accomplish such a lofty goal, he decided to redouble his efforts.
• By the age of 46, those efforts finally paid off as Faust was graced with the rank of Admiral. Since becoming an Admiral, Faust has worked hard to encourage a more moral approach to Justice, starting with trying to get rid of the Buster Call. Although he has not been successful to this day, he nevertheless persists in trying to fix the corruption he sees in the Marines’ Hierarchy.

• ⚔ Battle Smasher - The Battle Smasher is a sort of giant gauntlet weapon fitted onto Faust's arm when in combat. The Battle Smasher is not only large and durable, but it houses a gatling gun of sorts, enabling Faust to fire at enemies at a long range. The strongest ability of the weapon however are a set of explosive rounds that can be detonated as Faust punches, letting off an explosion right at the instance of impact.

• ▶ Busoshoku Haki - A form of Haki that acts as a sort of armor, coating the user and enhancing their physical strength. This ability can also be used to strike Logia user's real bodies and bypass certain other Devil Fruit defenses.
  
• ▶ Technological Know-How - Faust has also been taught how to maintain his mechanical arm and weapons, making him rather savvy when it comes to technology. He isn't an expert, but he's capable of repairing his own prosthetic or even his battleship when he needs to.

• ▷ Klaue - Faust's arm possesses a piston built into the elbow, which pulls out before slamming back into his arm, creating a powerful, hammering effect that enhances the power of Faust's strikes. This can be used repeatedly if Faust is grabbing an opponent.

• ▷ Heulen - Faust has been modified with a sort of air cannon within his mouth that enables him to release a powerful blast of air from his mouth.
