Attire: Shura often wears very simple clothing, consisting mostly of a provocative red robe tied around the back and around the neck with white lining, along with a white obi sash. Hanging from her sash is a sort of white skirt similar to a sarong that is torn at the ends. There is a slit in the side of the skirt that exposes one of her legs. In addition, she wears wooden geta on her feet as well as white bandages wrapped around her head. Shura often wears a red coat as well, although she usually wears it draped over her shoulders as opposed to fitting her arms into the sleeves.
Abnormalities: Shura possesses a large gash on her head, a result of her many skirmishes over the years with people from the World Government. This gash is usually covered up by her hair or by her bandages.

• Before Shura's birth, there was a couple who met each other on the seas. One was Human, while the other was a quarter-Giant. The two were close, often fighting side-by-side against the dangers of the Grand Line. One day, however, the Human woman became pregnant with child.
• Shura was born in the East Blue, where her parents had travelled to all the way from the Grand Line. Her parents had sailed to the East Blue hoping to raise their daughter in a more peaceful environment. Unfortunately, by the time Shura reached the age of 6, everything had gone wrong.
• Shura's parents had been pirates before Shura's birth, and though they had hoped to escape the World Government’s most dangerous forces, they were unfortunately met with an untimely end. Shura, having watched both her parents die before her, was then taken and sent to Tequila Wolf to work on the bridge.
• Shura had never been a timid child, but the endless days of men shouting at her and striking her with whips forced Shura to adopt a fearful attitude towards everyone around her. She was terrified of every day and she hated it. For eight years she worked away as a slave.
• At the age of 14, however, Shura found an escape. Managing to take the keys from a drunk guard and free herself of her chains, she snuck aboard a World Government ship before it sailed out from Tequila Wolf, stowing away in the hold. When the ship finally arrived at an island Shura ran for her life, desperate to escape.
• At first Shura was lost and scared, finding herself in a forest with fearsome beasts. She was forced to run and hide from the beasts that dwelt within the forest in order to survive.
• After spending some time on this new island, she eventually found an entire mountain of trash - a land known as the Gray Terminal, where people scavenged for food and valuable materials. Not long after, she discovered that the mountain itself had been created by the Goa Kingdom.
• Disgusted by the actions of the aristocracy, Shura turned towards life as a bandit, assaulting carts going in and out of the Kingdom and stealing food and valuables as a form of rebellion against the people who bet money for her life at auctions when she was a child.
• After killing a nobleman however, Shura's actions brought upon her the eye of the Marines, who had taken her to be dead up until that moment. Marines entered the Gray Terminal to face Shura directly, hunting her down for the sake of the nobes.
• After being attacked and given a large gash, Shura managed to escape. However, Shura's frustration with the nobles and the Marines began to reach a breaking point. Eager to find and kill the Marines' top brass, Shura decided to set out to sea and join a crew with the intention of butchering those who had abused her so much over the years.
