Attire: Yumi tends to wear whatever she finds comfortable at the time. This could be her bikini top and shorts, her shirts and baggy pants, or her red skirt and leather jacket. Typically though when on the deck of her ship, she wears what she calls her "showtime" ensemble.

Her hair is held in a ponytail by two chopsitcks, still long enough to trail to her rear, and a pin parts her fringe with the design of her own jolly roger (A skull with a crack coming from the right eye), she tends to have a matchstick between her teeth, chewing it like someone with a toothpick. Her chest is held in a Red bra that can be vaguely seen through the neck of her shirt. The shirt itself seems overly sized for the girl, but is fixed by being tied in a knot above the waist with her sleeves rolled up to between her elbow and shoulder. A satchel rests on her back with a single strap that goes across he chest and between her breasts.

She wears two belts that simply hang from her hips at opposite angles, each one also holding one of her custom pistols in a holster. The left hanging belt also carries her telescope in a special sash while the right carries a tube hung by string. Loose canvas style shorts adorn her legs only covering them to about lower thigh, knee high red socks and old worn leather boots covering the rest.

Yumi grew up in the east blue, but her heritage is more widely expanded. The Tasukai family were a group of travelers who sailed the four seas traveling wherever they wished before finally settling down on the island of Kasai. Thanks to her grandmother's expansive travels, a slither of kuja blood mad it into their family line due to a fun night at a bar with a "cursed" Kuja. This little trickle later found it's way to Yumi herself, creating and eighth Kuja Superhuman.

Growing up on Kasai was majorly peaceful. Her family had decided to stay here due to the great lighthouse that stood stall at the center of the island burning with a tremendous flame. It had saved them on a particularly stormy night upon which they finally decided their luck had been pushed just a little too far. The village surrounding the lighthouse was a very pleasant place to grow up, and as the young red head of the Tasukai family grew up she seemed to suit the life quite well. She would say good morning to her neighbors, the farmers she passed on her way to work, and always greeted her boss at the metal works with a smile.

Still, some people would have deemed Yumi a little odd. Some still had trust issues with the Tasukai's who had just arrived upon their island one day, but some just found her behavior alone worth questioning. Yumi was never the kind to wear dresses or pick a nice life at home. Instead, she wanted to go out and just do something! Anything! So long as she felt good doing it. Even her job at the metal works seemed odd to many, as such a rough, hand dirtying job would never have been taken up by a woman on the island before her. This was especially surprising to some as she seemed to be one of the most beautiful women on the island growing up!

One night, the light of ever burning lighthouse seemed to extinguish in a strong gust of wind. Little did the village below that this was the work of a pirate who had used a row boat to climb ashore. With the town in darkness, chaos ensued. The village woke up to cannon fire and the crackling of raging infernos as more pirates traveled ashore and set the town alight. Yumi and her family tried to run for their old boat only to find it had already been taken under the invader's Jolly roger. The town was held to ransom, and everyone had to give up their most prized possessions in order to pay for "protection."

4 years after that dreadful night the fire went out once more and the pirates returned. Everyone expected the worst, watching as the dimly lit ships in the distance readied their cannons. As their captain stood on the bow of the ship, ready to make his demands, a shot rang out, and the village trembled in fear, before feeling sudden elation as the captain of their attackers fell into the water to the sound of a confused and scared crew. One after another shots rang out until the pirates fled and the tower was lit again, revealing the sharpshooting red head atop the light house carrying a rifle from the metal works.

Despite what she had done for the village, she had committed several minor felonies, such as stealing from the metal works and killing pirates who had yet to earn a bounty. Knowing this, her family convince her to move on before the marines came and took her away, even if it was just for a year or two, the Tasukai's had a near instinctive fear of cages, and so she agreed, setting off with some gifts from the metal workers and some old family heirlooms.

Wherever she is now, she will always remember her home, seeing that grand tower in ever flame she sees.

• ⚔ Dual Flintlock pistols - A flintlock pistol modified to have two barrels, one atop the other, adding extra weight but allowing for an extra shot per reload. Carried in a holster, one on each hip./Carries two shots and fires a simple bullet.
  
• ⚔ The light weight - Carried typically in a satchel across her back, this rifle can be broken up into 5 smaller pieces, each made of lightweight metal. It takes time to put together but it is also typically not a weapon Yumi uses in the heat of the moment. At best, she can pull it together in half a minute./Fires a single shot per reload. Optional scope allows for greater accuracy. Surprisingly powerful for it's "build it yourself" style

• ★ Match box - A basic cardboard box of matchsticks. Not really much for creating light, but when she gets bored, the young pirate tends to just light one and let it fizzle out.
  
• ★ Odd map - Kept in a tube hanging from her belt, Yumi holds a map to an unknown island that she only knows rests somewhere on the grand line. With cryptic messages written on the back, she assumes it leads to fortune.~
  
• ★ Telescope - Able to shrink down to 20 cm and extend to roughly half a meter, it allows for some good, clear vision over long distances.

• ▶ Sniper's eye - A nearly superhuman level of sight. People with the eye of a sniper can spot minute details from a distance and figure out how to land a bullet on said minute detail with a single shot.
  
• ▶ Kenbunshoku Haki - Kenbunshoku Haki is a form of Haki that allows the user to sense the presence of others, even if they are concealed from view or too far to see naturally. With enough skill, one can use this Haki to predict an opponent's moves shortly before they make them, thereby making the attack that much easier to evade. This prediction appears to the user as an image or brief "premonition" of what the opponent will do in the user's mind's eye, and the damage the user will take if the attack actually "hits". It appears that the more killing intent the enemy has, the easier they are to predict. Although, more skilled users can predict future moves whether there are ambient murderous intents or not. • ▷ Curl like a Kuja - With Kuja essentially being a man's wildest dreams come true, it seems that they had become quite flexible through evolution. This seems to have passed down to Yumi, making it easy for her to get into most positions for the perfect shot.
