The first and most important rule is to respect everyone. Don't discriminate. Doing such things will get you banned on the spot, length determined by severity. Respect the staff. We worked hard to create this site and continue to work hard to maintain it, and we know it would be nothing without you but please, respect staff. That is all we ask for. And what we mean by that is, if the Main Admin, Night, or any of the other staff, for that matter, tells you no and you go around asking other staff for something or worse, tell them that Night had said yes when he hadn't...you will be banned.

Let's start this off easy. You cannot post on any board before your character application is both finished and approved. That's it. Now on to the other stuff.

Be it if you like it or not, fill the entire thing out. It's not that long. Don't go changing the code. You can add emphasis to certain parts like the name of a weapon or ability, but don't try to change the styles of the base code. Of course you can change the icons, that's a given.

I know it's said above, but I cannot stress this enough. Don't go in the cbox and be like "Any staff on? I just finished my character." I will move you to the bottom of the stack. If you're the only one waiting, I'll postpone it until the following day. It might seem mean, but it's more irritating to have tons of "I'm finished"s. We have a thread for that.

This means that if you try to submit another character with an account that already has one, the first character will be archived and you will no longer be able to post as that character.

Simple as that. Want another character, but you have 10? You can purchase more character slots in the shop. Staff will check your current characters for activity. If you aren't active enough with your current amount then you won't be allowed to have another one.

For example, use your cbox name as your username. Easy as that. I do not want to see any bull usernames. Stuff like "RX9BQPW" is unacceptable. Don't lie about who you are. If you have 10 characters, deal with it and buy another slot, don't lie with a new username. Protip: If you make a second character and your original username was "Fate" for example, then you could do "Fate2" and so on. You are also more than welcome to make your username match your character name.

Period, end of story. You try to make one and it will be denied.

Now, before you go making your guy fluent in Chinese and Dutch and Slovakian or some shit like that, be warned, you don't get fluency. You get words and phrases. I'm allowing you to pepper the speech, not drown it. And your character can use multiple languages in this way, but they should be kept similar, such as Spanish-Latin-French-Italian being all derived from original Latin, and such. Japanese, even with Latin or European languages, is allowed to a degree, since our source material is Japanese, but try and keep it reasonable.

Make sure you also include a translation somewhere if it is something your character is saying. One useful trick is to encase the spoken words in a hyperlink tag and put the translation in the title of it. This will let people hover the words and see a translation as well!

Just because in your imagination, you were Nami and Luffy's love child does not mean we'll let you be that here. We're AU anyway, so that's just kinda dumb.

We use face claims, not characters. It's called Original Characters for a reason. I will read up on face claims to make sure you don't. Physical similarities are fine to have, and usually expected, but EXACT replicas of personalities, or even close copies, are unacceptable.

Normally this is not allowed, but due to the nature of some of the races there are exceptions. If your character looks human, you cannot use custom art as the face claim, unless it is art you draw yourself. Stick figures are not allowed. It has to be PG-13, and will be reviewed by the staff to make sure of this. Further regulations for custom face claims can be found in the posts for races they are allowed for.

If a rookie pirate tries to fight an Admiral, Younkou, Shichibukai, or any of those high ups, expect for the rookie to not walk away. Maybe crawl, if they're lucky.
