Abnormalities: Mors' ears have 8 to 9 piercings on each ear. Other then that nothing else really sticks out.

Born in the deep jungles of Midway Forest. The Chevalier Clan among the Lepus tribe of beastfolk have held a close family tradition for years and years. Passed on from woman to woman of the clan. The Chevalier women have upheld the yonkou spot from generation to generation; and have passed it on in that same manner. Having gone unchallenged for years. Mortis was born within the Chevalier family; but like all Chevalier women was tested from her birth in survivability, health, strength, and instincts. All of which were major factors within the clan. Out of all the Lepus Clans; though it was rare to find Lepus as they lived so deep in the jungles. The Chevalier clan was thought to be royalty among them and often had the best of everything; and lived like royalty. Seeing a Lepus was just like finding some mythical creature that you thought didn't exist. Stories of Lepus were heard; but like all smart sea traveling beings. None ever went into the Midway Forest to find out.

Only Chevalier women were ever rarely witnessed.This left into question of what the men looked like, or if there were any left alive. When Mortis was a child and her mother was a Yonkou She often stayed on the ship with her mother to learn her ways; However unlike a mother would do she was treated much more like one of the members, but in the same manner was raised with a royal and snobbish attitude. Throughout her years as a young lass she took her lashes and beatings by nature herself. Her hands were battered, bloodied and bruised with hard labor and progress. All while being under the watchful eye of her mother. Though odd Mors' mother never spoke on her father. Never cared to, It was quite odd for her; but she never dared ask and eventually the thoughts of her father soon vanished from her.

As she got older she was being taught by her mother. She was taught about the world for what it really was; and what her mother really was. From her pocket she took out a black apple which had a white stitching across the lower half of the apple that resembled a smile. When her mother explained what devil fruit were she placed the apple into Mors' hand. Mors didn't know what to do with it; but her mother explained that when the time came that she would have to take a bite to keep alive. Eventually her mother was back in Midway forest with her. Mors was a young lady..A teenager to the eyes of most. The young lepus celebrated with her mother and other sisters within the Chevalier clan. One day when Mors awoke her mother had vanished. Before her was a document that read of her being killed by her daughter and having taken the title of yonkou for her own. Mors began to show a little panic as she went through out the now quiet village in search of her mother. She had found her body dead on the ground. Mors did not cry though she was in alot of pain. She took out the apple her mother had given her and took a bite of it. Her body began to wither away into dust; Then reform then it was clear as to what she had become; A devil fruit user.

As to what happened between her and her mother was a blur. Last she recalled she was sitting and having a drink with her mother and then blacked out. When Mors looked back at the letter stating her mothers death by her own hand. She saw that it wasn't her own it wasn't her mother's either. Delacreux Chevalier had excellent writing and anyone within the clan and beyond could easily tell her hand writing; Of whom had witnessed Mors killing her mother and taking the position of yonkou it wasn't clear, but tradition was, and each mother of whom had a daughter was killed by their daughter. So for years to come, and pass Mortis Chevalier as one of the four Yonko. Following the tradition of the Chevalier clan practicing and training constantly both sword speed, and awareness to uphold her mothers honor and her now new title. From ashes to ashes, Dust to dust..

• ⚔ La Santa Muerte - A blade wielded by Mortis that has made quite a name for itself over the years. This blade is resembled to a saber; but instead of being curved it is a straight double edged blade, and has no guard for the hands. There are engravings throughout the steel of the blade though no one knows how to read them or what they meant, yet. The blade in particular Mortis has sharpened to sever in one swing depending on the opponent; though she tries not to kill most have felt her blades cold hand and always live to tell of it.

• ★ The unknown letter - To this very day Mortis has the letter that was mysteriously written and left from when she killed her mother and chooses not to part with it.

• ▶ Sword Master - Mortis is known widely for her ways with a sword. She is a master of the sword and rarely has any flaws when it comes to using it. Most dread her to even bring up a sword like weapon; but she has made it her mission to use one and at a level no one ever thought to achieve. Still she strives to keep on pushing harder and harder to become greater and greater with it. Surprisingly to note she has quite alot of power behind it which makes her a challenge for people who look to hurt her.
  
• ▶ Superhuman Speed - Disgracing her mothers name was never in Mortis' best interest. Mors knew that Delacroix was surprisingly fast; and so in the same way to honor her mothers way she began to train in the art of speed. Making her speed and mastery with a sword just as dangerous. This as well works good with her movement making her surprisingly quick if someone may be in trouble or she needs to maneuver or get away.
  
  
• ▶ Kenbunshoku Haki - Mors is an expert at Kenbunshoku Haki. She is able to dodge and strike with great precision making her sword fighting style and reflexes even more beneficial to her lethal prowess make-up.

• ▷ Super Hearing- Mortis' ears are designed for hearing certain breaks in the air, and sound. Even being able to hear the break in sound barriers or ear for abnormally long ways away. Her ears also help her with fighting when it comes down to the nitty gritty. Usually her ears are used for mostly navigation however.
  
• ▷ High Reflexes - Mortis has oddly high reflexes making her a rather hard target to hit. While this doesn't make her impossible to hit it still presents her opponents with the challenge of actually getting the opportunity to hit her which usually frustrates them to no end.
