Description: The shadow shadow fruit allows the user to have full control over their own shadow, and the power to interact with those of others. This can manifiest in many different ways, and has varying degrees of strength, such as creating minions, controlling your opponent, increases in power, and even providing an impressive guard that allies permanently with the user. Of course, for as many strengths, there are as many weaknesses.

Known full well to all devil fruit users, Karyu cannot swim and loses control of their powers when touched by seastone. While this is not the only weakness they have, it is the only general weakness, as the rest are oddly specific to each technique.A general weakness to keep in mind is that any ability that is an extension of doppleman is susceptible to sea water, seeming to melt at it's touch.

• ▶ Doppleman - The staple skill of the Kage Kage no Mi. The user's own shadow can form various shapes, and more specifically can take Karyu's form, forming an ally/clone in battle that does not feel, and can attack with it's creator. Doppleman is limited by needing to retain some connection with Karyu, forcing it to remain within 10 meters of him. Sea water will also force it to lose form, but will not affect any Karyu directly through their link. Doppleman usually has a range of 30 meters with which to move freely around Karyu, but this can be affected positively or negatively by the time of day, or position of light sources.
  
• ▶ Shadoumerudo/shadow meld - (not cannon) Karyu is able to meld with his shadow. An extension of doppleman surrounds him in a coccoon of shadow and drags him into the shadow beneath. This allows for quick and hidden movements. The limits of this move is that no attacks can be made while a shadow. You are still tangible, and if you were to be stepped on or stabbed, there would be no way to block and damage would be amplified. Seawater also forces this form to be left instantly. The technique also has a short period when melding and reforming where the user is vulnerable as they wait for doppleman.
  
• ▶ Black guard - An extension of doppleman, Karyu's shadow moves to block an attacker by shooting up a thin wall between him and the attack. This blinds both Karyu and his opponent as long as the wall lies between them. The wall itself is usually soft, and takes blunt attacks, or rounded bullets, far easier than blades.
  
• ▶ Black box - An extension of doppleman, Karyu's shadow forms a strong box around the enemy that locks them in place. This can then attempt to crush the enemy within, or used to trap them, as Karyu's own attacks can pass through the wall with ease and still strike his opponent.
  
• ▶ Black star - An extension of doppleman, Karyu's shadow splits into roughly ten shuriken, spinning rapidly and flung towards the enemy. These are limited to 8 meters from doppleman's location, making it a close range attack.
  
• ▶ Kage Kakumei/Shadow revolution - By infecting another person's shadow with doppleman, following the rule a shadow must match the body, Karyu manipulates someone's shadow to change their body. This could be used like reverse shadow puppetry, gaining control over the victim, or used to change their body, such as extending their arms, forcing impossible contortions, etc. Doppleman is out of action while using this, and it only affects one person at a time. Harder to perform on strong willed opponents.
  
• ▶ Nusumu Kage/steal shadow - By interacting with shadows as if they were tangible, Karyu is able to pull a person's shadow out of the ground and cut it, disconnecting it from it's owner. The disconnected shadow has various uses but struggles to find it's owner when not in use by Karyu in some way. This technique can sometimes leave those who have had their shadow taken feeling drained. (Unlike the anime, those without a shadow do not burn in sunlight)
  
• ▶ Kage Sukiru / shadow skill - By taking a captured shadow into himself, Karyu can gain a boost in power and attain one of their key skills (a non racial, non haki ability) for the next 4 minutes/posts. Once this time has passed, the shadow returns to it's original owner.
  A unique downside to this technique is it can be copied by the enemy. When a shadow is not in use/returning to it's owner, anyone can grab it, and thus consume it.
  
• ▶ Zonbi - Karyu can place a caught shadow inside a recently deceased body if it is of reasonable shape (not too many wounds.). This creates a zombie minion with the capabilities of the physical body, and the behavior of the shadow possessing it. With no way to keep the bodies preserved these tend to break down after one thread, and the shadow returns to it's owner. A pinch of salt in the mouth (or salt water on the body) can force an early return of the shadow.
  
• ▶ Kage Ketsugo/shadow bond - By using the tangibility of his own shadow, Karyu can bond to any surface that his shadow is cast on. This can work for standing on vertical surfaces, and ceilings, but does not work if the surface is transparent, like a mirror. Sadly gravity is also still in effect, and while it certainly aids techniques such as running up walls, Karyu is still nowhere near as fast as when he runs on the floor.
  
• ▶ Kagemusha/shadow warrior - At any point he desires Karyu can swap places with doppleman, meaning that fatal blows could affect his shadow rather than himself, and of course this renders them useless. A downside is that Doppleman must already be formed for this to work.
  
• ▶ ReKagessance (a bad pun) - An extension of Kagemusha, Karyu creates a small part of doppleman from his shadow, such as an ear. These can be replaced with single parts of his true body, allowing him to spy on events in the next room or other varying distances.
  
• ▶ Kage Senjo / shadow battlefield - An extension of doppleman, by extending his shadow over the floor, turning it black, Karyu gains minor control over the environment, such as spikes jutting out of the ground, creating small bulges to trip foes, or easily dragging in the shadows of any who enter his area. Due to it's spread, this has a measly 5 meter radius.
