So Maō is an overall good person willing to help most people out with their own problems without a second thought if it's the best thing to do. Everyone has their own imperfections as people, and he isn't any different. Although he is intelligent as a combatant, his book smarts aren't as great, though he's not a complete moron. He also has a taste for violence, though not for the sake of killing but to understand people who are similar to him or have their own dreams and wishes. He's selfish to a certain extent, rarely thinking about the risks others have of associating with him or allowing people to change his mind when he makes it up about certain things. Overall he is a strange character who rarely gets mad or frustrated at others, but can become very emotional when agitation and anger sets in.
Friends - Maō is keen on friendship thinking that one can never have enough friends. It gives him something to do, and he can try to understand people better as he goes. He is very loyal to those he considers his friends, wishing to help them whenever he can. Needless to say, he is easy to get along with rarely getting angry at his friends, they have a larger chance of getting frustrated with him and his outlook on life though.
Rivals - Probably gonna be the bread-and-butter of how he becomes stronger. He likes having rivals because it makes sure he trains actively and keeps his instincts as a fighter razor sharp. These can also be friends too, though Maō is less aggressive towards his friends than his rivals unless otherwise stated or the situation changes.
Enemies - People that tick him off, such as those who attack his friends either verbally, physically or emotionally are those that make him angry. It isn't very easy to get him angry normally, and he doesn't hold hard feelings after the situation is done unless something is done that is unchangeable to his or his friends livelihood making those who he sees as true enemies few and far between.
Lovers - Maō understands love and sex, it's just that he doesn't care much for it. He's not looking for any lovers, or those who he has a certain sexual attraction to and focuses on his fighting more. He will have an emotional connection to the opposite sex, but not to the extent of a deep sexual interest with them (though he will showcase an intricate base of love, but not in the physical way). Sometimes he even comments on how "cute" or "sexy" a woman is, even having the natural reactions a man has towards them. But that's about it.
