[attr="class","iden"] [attr="class","title"]Identification Full Name: Sela Aliases: Blondie Date of Birth: 10th May Zodiac Sign: Taurus Sexuality: Bisexual Crew: Alignment: Neutral Good Personal Jolly Roger: Personal Jolly Roger [attr="class","appear"] [attr="class","title"]Appearance Height: 5'5" Weight: 112 lbs Hair Color: Sela's honey colored hair, which trails like a mesmerizingly golden river that runs down her back until it stops right beneath her shoulder blades while her bangs usually curtain over her forehead, could be considered the young woman's most flamboyant feature. Not wishing for her well-tended mane to get in her way, she usually keeps it tied up into either a side ponytail or a pair of pigtails, each held in place by an azure dyed piece of cloth that is knotted into a ribbon. Eye Color: Hazel Attire: When it comes to the choice of attire the blonde isn't influenced by outer standards, such as current fashion trends and instead wears whatever she considers comfortable. Having been born into a family of wealthy nobles, the honey topped woman nowadays known as Melissa used to be forced to wear heavy and highly decorated dresses day in day out, in order to display the social status of her family. Due to this, the young woman developed a huge animosity when it comes to the terms of formal dresses and instead prefers to wear something more daring that doesn't fit the cliché image of a damsel in distress and therefore isn't quickly associated to nobility. Her favorite outfit therefore consists of a teal dyed bikini top, whose cups are adorned with golden flower patterns that cover most of the fabric's surface. The piece of cloth is held in place by innocently white bands running up her chest, gently wrapping around her neck. A matching skirt wraps around her waist, covering the plain, sapphire colored thong as well as most of her well shaped legs as it reaches down beneath her knees. A leathery, hazel dyed belt rests upon the highly adorned skirt, making sure that it is kept in place, while also allowing the blonde to carry smaller objects, such as folded cards and compasses, that fit into the small belt bags attached to the item's rear. Ebony colored high-heeled sandals embrace her feet, granting her a somewhat more classy appearance as small, golden pendants are attached to the squiggly pitch-black bands that adorn the dorsums of her feet. When it comes to accessories Sela conforms to the cliché of a typical girl as she loves wearing necklaces, earrings, bracelets and other types of accessory. Three silvery bracelets therefore decorate each of her wrists, while a wider, sapphire colored armlet with silver borders clings to her right upper arm. She can often be encountered wearing her favorite piece of accessory, which she received from the man that saved and trained her. The item in question is a high-crowned and wide-brimmed cowboy hat carrying a shade of chestnut, while its brim's border is decorated with a thin line of soft, ivory fur. Not being sensitive to cold the flaxen haired pirate can generally be seen wearing light summer attires that allow her to move around without being restricted. Entering areas that contain harsher weather conditions, the female, however, doesn't shrink from hiding her well shaped legs behind the protecting fabric of pants, while a tightly fitting jacket embraces her torso and arms. The mainly snowy coat is accentuated with black borders, additionally carrying a chess-like pattern in breast height. Its hood is adorned with an inky colored pelt and capable of spending enough warmth and some protection from snow and rain. Abnormalities: The honey haired pirate has been fortunate enough to be untroubled by wounds that would have burnt themselves into her flesh by leaving traces known as scars. Despising the thought of blemishing her fair and almost flawless skin with tattoos she, however, got her right ear pierced no less than five times. |

[attr="class","bg"] [attr="class","title"]Background Located within the depths of the East Blue one will find Dawn Island, a larger landmass famous for the massive amount of nobles living within the secluded Kingdom of Goa., which Sela used to consider her home. Born as the sole child of Atticus the fourth, a distant relative of Goa's king, and his wife Lovise, the flaxen topped girl enjoyed the luxury of growing up within the city's exclusive "High Town"-area that surrounded the pompous palace. Consisting of nothing but magnificent mansions this district was solely inhabited by the Kingdom's most wealthy and influential nobles. Her parents, who considered themselves superior to other nobles, spent most of the day taking care of the family's business in order to increase their influence and power, leaving their only daughter in the care of teachers that were supposed to prepare the innocent child for the role she would have to play once she was old enough to marry the noble that granted her parents the most benefit. Prohibited from leaving the house without her parents, due to their fear of their daughter interacting with 'filthy' creatures, the flaxen topped child spent most of her youth within the mansion's library after getting tired of watching the world through the glasses of closed windows. Reading her books about missing islands, old temples, unknown tribes and hidden treasures the youth's imagination was fired. Amongst the reams of information mentioned within the books, she found a few rather old hydrographic charts that made her realize how large the world outside her window truly was. Her dreams of exploring bizarre places and unraveling the mysteries connected to them somehow allowed her to make it through the sheer endless hours of education she was put through by the private teachers her father had hired. Friendship was a term that the female only knew from the tales she had found within books and the stories some of the employees told her during her parents' absence; and the more she heard about it, the heavier grew her heart as it longed for the company of those she could consider her friends. Years passed and nothing changed, since her father had made sure, that the young child had no chance of sneaking out of the mansion or getting in contact with what he would call lowly life-forms. The honey haired girl had long since succeeded in copying and reading the maps she had found as she attempted to internalize the very foundations of navigation. Sure, she at first simply wanted to make sure that she was capable of one day visiting the fascinating places described by the books, but she soon developed an interest in the rather complex work of navigation itself. Shortly after her sixteenth birthday Sela was told that her mother had finally found the perfect husband for her, someone belonging to a family that was in someway related to the World Government. Both, her father and mother were overcome with joy and looking forward to the marriage, while the blonde felt more distressed than she had ever before. Well aware that she had to somehow escape this golden cage she asked her parents to take her to the market in order to buy a present for her future husband that was capable of reflecting the wealth and influence of their family. Blinded by the fortune that awaited them if the wedding went smoothly, her greedy parents agreed to the girl's suggestion, taking her to the city's market, where the most exotic goods were offered. Making their way across the crowd, Sela waited for the opportunity to vanish within the river of faces in order to escape the life her parents had planned for her. Not hesitating the slightest moment the young noble then suddenly rushed past the hired guardians, squeezing her way through the crowd. Obviously the trained men ran after the blonde in an attempt to catch her, but their muscular frames weren't capable of passing through the mob as smoothly as the slender female. Having no idea where she was supposed to go and well aware that she would be caught if she didn't manage to quickly find a proper hiding-place, Sela jumped onto a carriage filled junk that was headed for Gray Terminal. Hiding between the scrap the honey haired teen managed to get away from her pursuers as the carriage passed through the great gate. Jumping off the cart as soon as the massive portal had closed, a deep sigh forced its way out of Sela's peachy lips as she felt a mixture of relief and excitement dwelling within her. Standing in front of the junk mountains, the proof of nobility's lavish way of living, the flaxen topped female was shocked as the scale of this junkyard surpassed her wildest imaginations. Convinced that liberty and adventure awaited her beyond the scenery of discarded items, she started to make her way across the same, using the copy of a map she had found inside a book about Dawn Island and a compass to orient herself. The innocent noble had been walking for about half an hour, when the ground beneath her suddenly gave in, causing the light haired girl to fall into one of the subways. Hitting her head as she slid down into one of the countless tunnels forming a labyrinth similar to an ants nest, the world around the flaxen topped teen went dark as she lost her consciousness. Awakened by the pain, whose origin was her cramping stomach, she suddenly found herself lying in a room she had never seen before. Letting her gaze wander across the apparently empty hut, a strangely shaped, azure died fruit entered her field of vision as it lay upon a nearby table. Using her remaining strength she stumbled out of bed and dragged her aching body across the room and towards the table. Having never experienced this kind of hunger before, Sela didn't hesitate the slightest second before attempting to devour the exotic fruit in an attempt of reconciling her raging stomach. Her slender fingers were about to touch the exotic object when a sudden noise followed by an unfamiliar voice caused her to startle heavily. The source of riot was an elderly man that had dropped some logs after he had opened the door. Gazing at the stranger the honey haired teen was convinced that this stranger must have been her savior as he seemed worried about something, making a huge fuzz. Only moments later she realized that the fear of her eating from that unusual fruit was the reason for the entire commotion, since it apparently was one of the legendary Devil Fruits, a term she had read about, but cast aside as mere phantasm. Fortunately for her, the gentle man, who introduced himself as Lance, offered her some proper food and helped her recover. He was an old salt that had retired after spending most of his life roaming the seas and had by chance found the young girl lying within depths of Gray Terminal next to the Devil Fruit that he had picked up as well. Unable to decide if he should take the risk and taste it or not, he had placed it upon the table, not even considering the possibility of the girl, who had kept sleeping for two entire days, to suddenly awake from her slumber and consume it. Noticing how much this oddly shaped fruit meant to the old-timer, Sela voluntarily refrained from even getting close to it. Spending about three years at Lance's place located somewhere in the mountains surrounding Goa Kingdom and Gray Terminal like a natural rampart. The flaxen topped noble learned quite a lot about the life awaiting her once she would set sail in order to explore the world. Unaware that her parents had long since spread wanted posters, promising the insanely high reward of 100,00,00 Beli for those that would bring their child back safe and sound. Fortunately for her, they had expected her to have snuck aboard one of the vessels that were heading for the ocean and therefore never even tried to search for their child in the surrounding area. Leaving Dawn Island with a small boat given to her by her savior, Sela began her journey to unravel the veil of mysteries engulfing the world. |
