Was she used to it? Yes. Did it mean that she wouldn't be amused by it? Heavens, no.

The patient was settling down fine, after "the treatment" was given. She had never seen such a high blood-alcohol ratio in any living human beforehand, and she was her father's daughter! The red-head "pirate" still felt like crap, from what it seemed, but he had been lucky that she was present to give aid. He wouldn't have recovered very well without stabilizing medicine and serum.

This is what she was used to when she thought of pirates. Not violent, bloodthirsty monsters who looted and pillaged and raped as they went, but simple sailors, adventurers who flew a Jolly Roger and lived with the wind at their backs and the sun above them. Oh, how she wished she could join these people. To adventure, to spar every day and work hard on a boat. Her father always expected her to go out and make a name for herself, and he was the last person she wanted to disappoint. Her best friend had already left, gone to make a name for himself. What was holding her back?

The lack of a ship, for example, could be a good answer.

Nonetheless, as she left the patient to rest, she went out to the waiting room, where he had seen someone bring him. Silver and red was her hair, spiky as always. Her normal outfit was under her, but covered as of yet in a doctor's coat. She looked down and scribbled on the respective papers. While she played the nice role of a doctor, however, her sword could be seen hanging at her side, and her spear on her back - the nurses and other doctors were now used to Felicia's unwavering persistence to keep her weapons on her at all times.

Looking to the girl who had brought the guy, she called "Excuse me, Miss, your friend or crewmate or whateverheistoyou is resting now. You're free to take him when he wakes up." She said, before chuckling a little. "Good thing you brought him in too - his liver seemed like it was squashed by a giant or something, from the alcohol poisoning."

While the girl seemed pretty nice, and more importantly, she had a nice sense of humor (really, a Giant? That's something that Felicia HAD to see! It was just as important as Bananas, or even more so, her Diary! The strangest she'd ever seen was a guy who was 1/16th Skypean, and he didn't even have wings, just really annoying feathers coming out of the most unneeded places), she also seemed worried? Girlfriend? ...Nah, not worried enough. Family member? ...They did both have red hair, but that's about it on similarities.

Could she really be a crewmate? The way she worried wasn't really that of a random crewmate, more like an official. Oooooooh, maybe she was the captain! Maybe she had incredible adventure stories to tell Felicia, and maybe she could even hitch a ride with them to the next island! The possibilities.

But Felicia was still in doctor duty, and she had to behave as such. A soft smile appeared on the medic's face, nodding in agreement.

"No worries, Lady - it's my pleasure and job to help in whatever way I can. But you're right, it was a good thing you were nearby to bring him in. Otherwise... Well, I don't want to be blunt or grim or anythinglikethat, but healthy recovery wouldn't have been likely. Being at sea, like you guys are, is very dangerous without proper access to medical aid. I wish I could adventure like you guys, bring help to those who need it and still work and have fun and make a name for myself... Oh well! My chance will come! I know it!" Said the girl. Throughout her speech, Felicia seemed to drop into a bit more somber state of mind, her smile receding and a little bit of her everyday anxiety showing - if she would ever escape the island and make a name for herself, make her father proud and so on - but she perked right back up, her chipper smile brightening up her face once more.

The other girl's joking comment went just fine with Felicia's mood. She laughed and clapped slightly. "Good one, Lady! Normally, I can bring down the patient without using trusty Avacyn," she said, pointing at her spear on her back, "or Sorin" and then pointing at her sword, sheathed at her waist "but there was this one time that I had to threaten this one patient to lay down or he could duel me to see if he didn't need to take that shot. Needless to say, I won." She told, with a chuckle.

"I just like having my weapons on me - my Daddy made them, they kinda always remind me of my parents. Plus, I plan on going to weapon practice after I finish my shift - can't be the best or stay the best without training like the best!"

Felicia was going to keep joking and having nice, simple fun with the Lady. She was nice enough - it was rare to see some sailor who wasn't rude and in a rush to get back out. But then she said the thing.

" And hey, if you want to go adventurin', we need a doc on our ship!~ I mean you'd need to use that spear on a LOT more people."

Had Felicia had anything in her mouth, she would have made a brilliant, classic spit-take. She paused for a second, the smile on her face transforming into a shade of shock and surprise, before fading away into a larger, even wider smile than before. Her happiness seemed to bounce off the walls, and she did too, giddy with excitement. No manner of calm existed in her at the moment, only bubbling joy. This is what she had been waiting for! Her chance had finally come, so unexpectedly, but so very welcome!

"Wooooahh, really? Like, really really can I join your crew? Wowewowow! Does that mean I get to sail the blues? Yeahwesome! Ooh, wait until I tell Daddy I'm heading off, I wanna see the look on his face, and maybe he'll give me that gift he told me he'd been saving for me, and I should probably go to the ship to see my new home and new friends, but maybe I should go home first to take my stuff, then again I don't carry much with me, but I'll need to bring my bananas, and then-" She continued in a rant, her excitement dribbling off her words at energetic speeds.

But then Felicia remembered the girl, and he turned to her, still smiling.

"You're the Captain, right Lady? Should I call you Captain from now on? How about Lady Cap? Ladytain? Well, that doesn't matter. I'll gladly take your offer on joining your crew - consider yourself one Doctor heavier. Felicia Angelica Innistrad Markov, ready for orders, Cap!" Said Felicia, in a mock salute. Her eyes were beaming, not only with joy and energy, but gratitude. This girl, this Captain, she had brought Felicia the chance she had been waiting for. How could she not be thankful?

Felicia wasted no time in taking the Captain’s hand, beaming a little with the residual excitement. But the questions Yumi was making was one which incited other one’s in the medic’s head: she didn’t even know the rest of this “crew.” Who’s to say that these people were the kind of adventurers that Felicia wanted to associate herself with? What if they were horrible people, murderers, the people her father had so ardently warned her about? Could she leave her home, her life, and her father for random people she’d just met?

But that seemed unlikely. Captain Yumi seemed like a very nice person, and she seemed willing to give her the chance to adventure. Had her father not told her to always take a chance when it showed itself? They had that conversation before. He always encouraged her not to think about leaving him if she could leave. He was a tough, old man, and he could take care of himself. He’d been doing that most of his life, even after his wife had died, and so he could do it again.

Shaking Yumi´s hand, the medic nodded and smiled, chiming back in response. “Well, before you introduce me to the crew, if it is okay with you, Cap, I’ll need to go home and pick up some things. After, you can introduce me any way you want – preferably, with bananas.”
