Gray had been sailing on the lower clouds for about 3 weeks and he has just ate his last piece of bread, all he has left is a few Sky berries that have went off and a small piece of cheese. Cheese was one of the most common foods in Anormalis; Gray's home town was full of goats and cows with pure white fur and big black eyes, no one knows how they got up there in the first place but they seem to have a marvellous way of producing milk. As Gray's stomach grew more restless as time went on and his small piece of cheese was only left as a few small crumbs squashed in the small etches of his tiny boat's decoration. They journey so far hadn't had much to see, in fact there was nothing to see at all except clouds. There were only a few large sounds coming from below a few days before that sounded like church bells and explosions, he would listen with his ears wide and pricked up from the excitement below.
Gray was currently sleeping like he always was when he got bored and his stomach made one overly large growl that shook him out of his deep sleep. He awakened to be slowly descending though the thick layer of cloud and then suddenly there was nothing beneath him but the open air and he was falling faster and faster, his sail tore apart and he and his long bag of supplies would have been tossed out by now if they were not attached by a thick length of rope wrapped around the bag and his ankle. His eyes were slowly closing as his boat declined down the sky, just before his vision turned into a blur he saw the ocean, the deep blue colour made him feel happy and he passed out.
A loud splashing and crashing sound echoed across the ocean, rippling off every wave. As the sea calmed two boats were seen clearly and quietly next to one another. A Caravel was afloat just meters away from from Gray and his boat embarked on this ocean.

000 "A sailer whent to sea sea sea to see what she could see see see!" It was a clear day on the east blue and the broken chopsticks crew was sailing nice and cleanly along the quiet, still sea. Everyone in one way or another was doing their, part, be it keeping them on course, as Shura was, fixing up the lower decks, like Violet, their mad little mechanic, Edward cooking dinner, Bunji training his swordsmanship, and so on. Yumi herself was in her favorite spot, casually taking peaks at the surrounding sea through her telescope whenever she felt the need, which, with such a calm sea, was hardly ever. Heck if the rest of the crew wasn't working, she wouldn't feel bad if she just took a nap.
Eventually, just as she was about to drift off, something did catch her ear. It was like a faint whistle, but from above. some bird? No, skies were clear...wait, what was that?
"Holy crud is that a boat!?"
The red head captain leaped onto the railing of her little nest, bringing out her telescope and quickly locking onto the odd brown spot that was gradually falling closer to the sea. She was right, it was a boat! What on earth was a boat doing up there!? Watching it descend she winced as it hit the waves, hoping no one was inside it still. Heck from a fall like that they'd likely be knocked out....and, of course, there was someone, and they were indeed knocked out.
"Shura, mind the boat, I'm taking a look at this."
Having had a little practice with her fruit at this point, Yumi kicked off the railing of the crow's nest, falling towards the water as her whole body ignited in a fantastic blue flame, he descent coming to a halt as two fluorescent wings spread out from her burning body, the flames dispersing as she flew towards the boat that had made it's way from the heavens, perching atop the severerly wrecked sail and gazing down at the unconcious creature.
"Wings...must be another zoan user, probably thought he could fly his boat to the next island or something..." Rubbing the underside of her beak in thought she glanced at the sea beside the boat, hopping down and dipping a hand in, before pouring it on the stranger's face in an attempt to wake him. Gray was dreaming, it was a flashback to when he was younger, he and Alice were always laughing, playing and he would always listen to the stories she was told by her father who once visited the Blue Sea. Ever since he first heard about the open blue waters beneath the clouds; his mind was set on going there and starting his adventure just like the people in the stories. Gray would always dream about leaving the island with Alice and going to all new exciting places and sharing the experience of a more vast knowledge of a world they would one day hope to see... But she got ill, her body grew weak and once her father died she was never then same, she stopped talking about the Blue Sea and eventually the spark in her eyes dimmed to an empty look. Gray was saddened by his friend which he had loved all those years change into a poor state which he had no idea how to heal, but still he left and he might be starting to regret leaving her.
Gray burst out of being unconscious and was confused where he was. He opened his eyes wide and gazed at the strange bird-like creature looking down at him. He realised where he was and quickly remembered the flash of ocean before he blacked out. He leapt up and looked across the open water and screamed off the top of his lungs "OCEAN!" Gray quickly dipped his paws into the water and let it pour out of his fur, he then launched his face into the water and opened his eyes to see what he could see. It was beautiful, he could see the sun reflecting off the seabed and the vast amounts of fish that were schooling around the reefs below was astonishing, all Gray wanted to do was to dive in and swim with them.
Gray was about to dive in when he was snapped back to reality when his ankle pulled him back, he was still tied down to the boat. He suddenly remembered the blue feathered bird that was staring at him with confusion. At this point he realised how rude he was not to try and speak to it and quickly got onto his knees and said "Hey, ugh.. Bird?" Gray smiled shyly and was anticipating for an understandable reply.

000 "A sailer whent to sea sea sea to see what she could see see see!" Whatever had happened to this beastfolk, he was sure happy to see land...or, more accurately, water. Flying back up to perch atop his broken sails she'd watch with weird intrigue as the fox, cat, wolf, bird, thing, dove his hands into the water. Sure she could understand suddenly feeling safe what with him having apparently been in the sky or something, but this seemed like it was the first time he'd even seen the ocean. It was only when he turned to her that she seemed to actually remember that she'd flown over to check if he was okay, and not stare at the odd sight.
"Bird?" She peaked down curiously, having forgotten her recent powers for a moment before spotting her own feathers in the corner of her eye. "OH! Sorry, almost forgot about this thing." Her body slowly enveloped itself in flames as her wings vanished, and her skin was revealed as the feathers burned away. "I'm Yumi, I just sorta saw you...well...fall outta the sky, thought I'd check if you were okay..." She glanced around the boat, truly taking it in for once. "Your sail looks torn to all hell and...I don't even see a spec of food on this thing..." Looking back to him, she adjusted herself to sit atop the sail rather than perched like a bird. "That and, despite having wings yourself, you seemed pretty shocked to see another zoan user. You okay? Take a few too many bumps to the head?" Little did she know one could have wings without being a fruit user like herself. CODED BY SYLVIE

"What in Blue is a zoan user?" Gray said in a confused train of thought. 'Blue' was a common phrase used by the sky people as a way of expressing speech very similarly to how ocean people say 'Hell.' Gray got to his feet and turned around slowly to see a ship bigger than he'd ever seen before due to Abnormalis only ever having one ship which was only slightly bigger than the one he was currently standing in. His eyes widened with astonishment, he untied himself from the ship and took his lance out of his bag which now seem much, much smaller without the strange weapon inside. Gray used the lance as an oar which with one single swing with one hand launched the small boat towards the one in front. Gray leapt onto the bow where he saw a whole bunch of people, he had never seen people without wings before and this made him feel frantic with excitement.
It was at this moment that Gray realised that as soon as he arrived here at the Blue Sea he has spent every second of being awake feeling better than any feeling he had before, he knew it wasn't going to get boring any time soon which made his chest flutter. Gray's stomach started to roar furiously which knocked him to the ground in pain. He knew he shouldn't have eaten all his food so quickly but he's such a glutton when he is alone that it sort of soothes him like a hand to hold onto. It was not likely that the people on the ship and his new acquaintance did not go without hearing the large roars echoing around Gray's abdomen.

000 "A sailer whent to sea sea sea to see what she could see see see!" Wow...rude much? Not only did he just question her own words like she was the crazy one, when he had just fallen out of the sky and had all the marks of a fruit user, but he was also sailing right up to her ship! The audacity of this beastfolk was ridiculous! Heck everything about him seemed pretty ridiculous. His wings, his odd fashions sense...the sky...THING that had just happened. It was all crazy. As he sailed up beside her ship, his stomache began to growl and Yumi rolled her eyes. She wasn't the kind of gal to just let this guy starve, but she wasn't about to let him straight on either. Flames sprouting from her back, much like wings but not taking her full feathery form, she gave herself a quick boost with her jump to get back aboard her ship, landing gracefully upon the wooden rail and staring at the smaller ship below, crossing her arms.
"We're the broken chopsticks. By the look of your sail you ain't gonna get far without us. Mind telling us why we should bother taking you aboard?" CODED BY SYLVIE

Realised how much he had imposed on this lovely group aboard the marvellous vessel, Gray looked Yumi in the eyes and said "I'm looking for adventure and I've dreamed about this sea all of my life and I beg you to let me travel along with you until I find somewhere to call my home." at this point Gray had fallen to his knees, half in pain and half in apology for asking so much from people he had just met.
Gray recalled the time when he first met Alice, he was an ignorant and arrogant child back then and wouldn't do as he was told, always getting into trouble with the town folk and would always leave his greens to waste. One day while strolling through a new part of town he had never visited before and his eyes met directly into Alice's while still being what seemed like a long distance away, this first moment and the moment he saw her eyes for the first time changed him. Gray instantly felt this large inspiration inside of him that made him feel as if he was in the thinnest and softest clouds there were to exist.
A few months later Gray went back to that same part of town where he met the pretty eyed girl with the flicker of light in them, he was searching for hour after hour and could not see her anywhere. Eventually he gave up and headed home feeling like he would never gain look into those oculi again. He passes a small pond that was created hundred of years ago by the town's founders; it was made with thick clouds at the bottom and rim and was filled with all sorts of sky fish that aren't normally so small, as if they had been bred that way. While staring into the water which was a sort of crystal like colour, a second reflection appeared next to his; the girl he spent hours looking for eventually found him instead. This is him most treasured memory and he intends never to forget this until the day he dies.
