Description: This fruit grants the holder smooth skin on a whole new level. Most physical attacks simply slide off of his body, and he completely eliminates friction. The no-friction part is his favorite, since it allows him to ignore air friction and near-instantaneously achieve speeds most men wouldn't even dream of. He can punch like a machine gun or like a cannon, he can accelerate in an instant, and he's impossible to grab.



While he does have the standard weaknesses of the ocean and kairoseki, he also has the unique disadvantage of being unable to grab most things himself. He needs gloves to have any traction with his hands, and the only reason he's able to slow down from his high-speed is because of his shoes. If he weren't wearing his gloves or shoes or if they were damaged in some way, he'd be about as good at doing anything as a polar bear in roller skates. And while certain physical attacks don't harm him, the trade off is he takes more damage than most men might from energy or elemental based attacks, enough that a single one of enough power is enough to effectively knock him out of any fight. He's also not immune to things like sniper bullets, or any other sort of projectile weapon with enough emphasis put into a piercing effect in the design.

• ▶ Mach Slider - On the bare soles of his feet and given a sufficient incline, Hughes can match the speeds of most land vehicles.
  
  
• ▶ Mach Image - He begins moving so fast he leaves afterimages. This is not an attack, just a distraction technique.
  
  
• ▶ Barrier Break - He breaks the sound barrier with a punch and uses the resulting sonic boom in one of two ways; either as instant acceleration to immense speeds, or as the metaphorical "bang" of a flashbang grenade, a distraction technique to allow him to escape.
  
  
• ▶ Acceleration - He can run at high speeds. His absolutely top speed is 425 mph, but this is when he's just straight sprinting on a straightaway. His top speed while maintaining some form of agility is approximately 300 - 325 mph.
  
  
• ▶ Mach Climber - This technique's name is rarely ever stated, but it does have one. This is when he runs at a high enough speed to allow him to effectively defy gravity by running on walls and ceilings. The ceilings he can do with less success, but the walls he can do almost perfectly.
