538 "A sailer whent to sea sea sea to see what she could see see see!" Shell town. Not exactly a special place. From the mere sight of it though, you could tell a few things. It was likely to be peaceful, very lawful. Not a person would do wrong in this town and all for one simple reason.
The huge tower dedicated to the marines in the center.
For miles around, like many would have seen the lighthouse on her home island, many would be able to see the marines HQ on shelltown, and many a pirate may even be intimidated by such a sight. Not Yumi herself of course, oh no. Not only was she confident she could get on the island without so much as raising an alarm, but she was sure that if she put the effort and time in, she'd likely get away with a far better ship than her old worn down catboat she'd used to cross the seas from her home island.
Technically, the island shouldn't be such a safe place for the red head. Her actions could class her as a pirate. The one thing she hadn't done to earn that title truly was fly the jolly roger, something she had no intentions of doing until she had a real ship with which to sail the 4 seas, and maybe the line between. In her mind, until she had the roger, she was safe.
"Or...maybe not..."
Placing a heavy boot on the deck of her little boat, the red head brought up her trusty telescope to her eye. She was sure she'd caught something going on at the docks, and as she extended the scope, she was right. Marines galore. Sure the place as a HQ, but in no way was it meant to be THAT busy. Something was up. Pushing her scope down to it's minimum size once more she was quick to rush for the mast and rudder, adjusting both to make a large circle about the island, keeping a free hand on her satchel should she need to assemble the light weight.
Before long, the boat itself had struggled it's way around to the back of the island, facing a small cliff that would be easy to climb, but would mean abandoning to cat ship with no anchor to keep it held down. If she didn't get her ship, she'd be stranded.
"Welp...so long ya old coot." There was a slight chuckle in her voice and no sense of attachment as Yumi hopped off, her hands scrambling and clutching to the grassy earth above as she tried to get up top. As soon as her weight was off the boat the waves began to take it far more quickly than she would have guessed, the small ship floating off to god knows where. Looking back, she just didn't seem to care. She had eyes for something bigger after all, with a glance over her shoulder she noted the large stone walls surrounding the Marines tower of self righteous glory, giving a large sigh and patting the dirt from her knees, making her way around it and down to the town itself, wondering what on earth was going on with the docks. Shells Town was a huge risk, she knew. Having spent all her life in East Blue, the young woman had learned quite a few things about the ways Marines organized themselves throughout the sea. There were a number of places a pirate didn't want to get caught wandering around - one of them was Loguetown, but next to that and Goa Kingdom, Shells Town was probably the worst place to be. The young woman had spent the better part of her time on the island hanging out in a small bar on a back street, where she could get a drink in peace.
The others in the bar kept their distance. A young woman ordinarily wasn't anything to be afraid of - at least, in the eyes of the kind of men who hung around these bars, they weren't - but a woman who was seven feet tall and had bandages wrapped around what was presumably a scar on her head probably wasn't someone to be messed with. She took a swig of her drink, gulping down mouthfuls before letting out a sigh and resting the glass back down. Despite the risks, there was a reason she had come to the island, she mused. She intended to sail as far as the Grand Line, but in order to do that she needed a boat first. But getting a boat wasn't going to be easy, especially with Marines all around the docks.
But then, that was part of the fun.
The young woman gave a small smirk as she considered taking on the Marines down at the docks. She couldn't deny she felt a certain exhilaration whenever she found herself surrounded by Marines, fighting her way through. A sort of adrenaline rush that came from placing herself in danger. But then, with a past like hers, she didn't need to place herself in danger - she was practically swimming in it, now that she was a wanted face. Downing the last of her drink, she began to stand up. She could stay in the bar longer, of course, but she had work to do, and it wasn't going to get done if she stuck around longer.
The young woman began walking towards the door, but as she walked the bartender began to turn towards her, looking cross.
"Hey, you didn't pay for your drink!" he yelled. At once several men - all big and brawny - began to stand up. Hearing the numbers rising up from behind her, the young woman smirked and turned around, her violet eyes scanning the lot of them. Slowly, she began to crack her knuckles.
For a few minutes the bar had been rowdy and noisy, filled with the sounds of glass breaking and wood snapping. People hit each other and then hit the floor. But after a few minutes had passed, the noise grew quiet. Slowly, the front door to the bar creaked open as the tall woman crouched slightly to step through it. As she stepped outside she let the door close behind her and began to stand upright, giving a sly smirk. There wasn't a scratch on her.
"I suppose that's enough fun for now," she remarked as she began walking down the alleyway, intending to walk in the direction of the docks. "Let's see what we can do about a ship..."

565 "A sailer whent to sea sea sea to see what she could see see see!" With a quiet sigh to herself the red head sneaked past the two marines left to guard the walls of the HQ, each of them standing tall and straight ready for any pirates or nare do wells. Pfft. As if those stringy examples of men could do anything noteworthy. She bet that the one on the left had never even been able to lift a sword, let alone been given the chance to. Nevertheless, she was in the alleys of the town now, the buildings surrounding her and keeping her safe, but also blocking her goal, the docks, from view.
Maybe she could just ask someone? Then again, just as she walked beneath a window from which a woman hung her laundry, she noticed a worried, perhaps dirty look from her. What on earth earned that? Searching around herself, patting herself down of any remaining smudges of dirt from the climb up, she realised. Her belts, more specifically, what they held. Of course no one in this town carried a gun, they had the marines to protect them, and heck, even if they had the common sense to carry one the Marines would probably confiscate it anyway. She was looking more pirate than she realized.
With heading to the docks clearly not an option, and now lacking the ability to ask a common person, she wondered for a moment. Where would a Pirate go to get information, and like a flash of lightning, striking fast and burning with her own stupidicy for not realizing, she found it. The bar! Where on earth else would a pirate go if he needed something? Heck she was sure that even an island this clean and proper would have a barman willing to give up info for a pretty Beli.
Now to find-SMASH
"Huh!?" Yumi ducked instinctively at the loud smash. The times her own home was attacked by pirates taught her that if you hear something loud, you're probably in trouble. As moments passed however she heard more and more sounds with no signs of any threat. Following them with the curiosity with a cat, she soon found the source, sighing at the sign that hung above the door. Of course. The bar. Once again her stupidity was burning her brain. As she stared at the door, wanting to peak in and take a look at what was going on, it grew silent. Intriguing. Leaning forward her hand rested on the door, before footsteps caught her ear. Jumping to the side she watched as...well...a giant of a woman seemed to walk out, without a scratch. Maybe a barman just tripped and broke some glasses? As the giant left, Yumi peaked inside.
"Holy cow...."
Men and shattered glass littered the floor, each as equally broken. Yumi glanced back to the leaving woman, and the bar, woman bar woman bar HOW IN THE EAST BLUE!? She hadn't even got a scratch...wait. Ship!? She wanted a ship! Maybe this was her chance. Running up behind the woman Yumi reached out a hand, calling out.
"H-hey! You need a ship right!?" Catching up rather quickly, she darted around the bandaged woman, standing before, and in a sense, under her. "You know what's up with the docks?" CODED BY SYLVIE

The tall woman hadn't even noticed the shorter woman as she walked along. She simply carried on walking, her arms folded in front of her as she strolled along at a leisurely pace. It was only when the young woman called out to her that she stopped. Slowly, the young woman turned around, casting her gaze slightly downwards as she spotted another young woman with vibrant, red hair. Uncrossing her arms she placed her hands on her hips, staring down at the shorter woman.
"Yeah, I'm looking for a ship," she remarked, answering the girl's question. The tall woman continued to smirk, though her expression wasn't entirely friendly. She looked over the shorter woman, scrutinizing her. She looked young - or rather, innocent. But she decided to humor the shorter girl. "What's it to ya?"
She remained quiet as she listened to the shorter woman speak further, questioning why there were so many Marines at the docks. She suppressed a chuckle, thinking about it. She'd spent so much of her life being pursued by the Marines that she practically knew them like the back of her hand. They probably knew less about themselves than she did, having had to deal with them so frequently.
"My guess? The guy running this place is probably a paranoid psycho. A couple of those guys manage to climb their way to the top. They say the East Blue is the weakest sea, but what they actually mean is that the Marines have this sea wrapped around their finger," she remarked. She placed her hand upon the shorter girl's head, as if to emphasize the difference between them by treating her like a child. Then, she began to lean down just a little. "But a better question might be... Why are you so curious, Red?".

422 "A sailer whent to sea sea sea to see what she could see see see!" From the look she was getting, the mere size of Yumi was not getting her a good impression on the giant of a woman before her. Damn her youthful looks sometimes. If she knew about it, she'd have cursed the 1/8 Kuja dwelling inside her. Even though she was 21, the prime of most woman's lives, she probably looked and sounded more like a 17 year old trying to act mature. Nevertheless, she'd gotten at least some interest of the woman who had taken down an entire bar of men, and a smile crept onto her lips, signalling the formation of a plan.
"Well, if you're looking for a ship, we're after the same thing. A common goal." She listened further to the explanation with the docks, turning to stand side by side with the taller woman, able to spot the docks from the corner of the alley. She was right, from the looks of things there was no real reason for anyone to be locked down par Paranoia. "Yeah. Paranoid psychopaths, the best kind..." With a quiet sigh she also acknowledge the mention of east blue and it's supposed peace. "Tell me about it, when pirates attacked my island the marines didn't even send a ship."
Yumi was about to step in front of the woman to address her once more, when a hand suddenly plonked down onto her head, looking up at the giant seemingly treating her like a child, an unamused expression plastered onto her own face. "It's Yumi aaaaaaaand..." Pushing the hand off her head, she would continue. "You just took down a bar full of guys who could probably beat any of those marines in an arm wrestle. And I," She began, pulling out her custom pistols. "Have these. What do the Marines have? A ship and a bunch of chickens guarding it. It should be easy enough if we want to take that from them.~ What'ya say?"
She knew she was jumping the gun a lot with her offer. The two girls didn't even know eachother but all Yumi saw was that they had a common goal. She also knew that she had no chance of overpowering this woman if they had a dispute on board, but really, it didn't matter. Yumi just wanted to travel, and that meant wherever this girl wanted to go, Yumi would go too. ESPECIALLY if it was somewhere cool. CODED BY SYLVIE

The tall woman chuckled. So she really expected her to help her get her hands on a ship? She was gutsy, she had to admit. Trusting a complete stranger to help her get her hands on a ship? Frankly, it seemed incredibly naive - a great way to get yourself killed on the seas. Still, the tall woman couldn't help but contemplate the offer. She was planning on getting a ship, after all. It wasn't an inconvenient deal.
It was then that she began to introduce herself as Yumi. Holding up her guns, she remarked upon their chances, stating that between the tall woman's brawn and her guns, they were capable of taking a ship from the Marines. She chuckled again, finding that she couldn't entirely disagree with the woman's thoughts. She was strong, and a gunner's talents could help her out.
"Shura," she told Yumi, pointing her thumb back at herself. She may as well introduce herself, after all. It wasn't like this girl would recognize her, even if the Marines did. "And I suppose I can agree to that, Red. You help me get what I want, I help you, everyone wins. Everyone important, anyway".
In any case, it wasn't like anything could go wrong for her. She was confident she could take a ship by herself, but having someone else do the work was convenient. Not to mention the fact that if the girl tried to double-cross her... Well, Shura had inherited a lot of strength from her Giant ancestors. Yumi would not like to see how dangerous she could be.
"Just bear in mind, I'm not going to babysit you. If you do something stupid and get yourself in trouble, well... You're a pretty face, but I'm not gonna save you, Red," she told Yumi in no uncertain terms. She wasn't going to come to the rescue of someone else, after all.

294 "A sailer whent to sea sea sea to see what she could see see see!" Yumi gave a small smile, pushing her guns back down into their holsters and looking over to her side at the taller woman. It seemed that together they were going to get a ship. Shura, as she appeared to be named, was certainly going to make this job a lot easier. Sure, Yumi knew how to sneak past people, in the shadows of the night, but with such brawn by her side she was sure she'd be able to practically just walk in. A quick one two from Shura, Yumi pointing her guns, the marine's would be begging them to take a ship and leave.
"Glad to hear you're all on board, so to speak." It was then that she heard that if she wasn't to pull he weight in this operation, Shura would not be going in to save her. So be it. She already had a plan in mind that would make sure neither of them got in too much danger...at least, relative to their ability to handle it.~
"Alright. From what I can tell they're not caring about anyone who walks near the docks." She began, glancing around the corner. "If you go in from the front, there focus will be on you even if you don't attack them. I'll take a shot from afar, and in the confusion, we can easily take a ship!" With a confident tug on the satchel that held her rifle gear, she felt this might go pretty well. Heck the docks were so far from the inland HQ they could probably get away before back up was called for! What could possibly go wrong? CODED BY SYLVIE
