253 "A sailer whent to sea sea sea to see what she could see see see!" With a confident smile on her lips, the red head felt the strong breeze of the open sea, sighing happily as it caressed her face as she leaned over the edge of her new ship. With her first mate at the wheel she took a moment to just enjoy the sight. It was a small change, but being just that little bit higher off the water made her feel so much more free. Heck, she had so much more room to move now, that helped too! She was so glad they managed to take this old Cog ship the marines had claimed.
Before long the crew found themselves at another land mass, luckily, this island was inhabited. Thank god. She needed to pick up some maps and maybe a compass. Shura and her had absolutely no clue where they were going, with no maps or even a compass, they were lucky to even get to another island, let alone avoid the calm belt that sailors feared so much.
"Shura! Tie up the ship. I'mma go spend some coin so go easy on the rum!" Hoping she could trust her improv crew mate, Yumi darted off down the docks once they pulled up along side the wooden platforms, rushing inland with a smile on her face and what she believed was the excitement her family felt every time they arrived on a new island. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | Quick, yet graceful steps carried Sela's slender frame across the tattered stones of the winding road that led across the hilly town that apparently went by the name of Syrup Village. Her gentle orbs curiously scanned the shops in the area, while her sandals emitted a clicking noise each time their heels hit the lithic ground below. Having arrived at the archipelago just a few hours ago, when her small boat stranded at a nearby beach after being hit by a storm thad had appeared out of nowhere, the former noble was now in need of something to eat as well as a way to continue her journey, which had just begun. Each step she made caused her heart to rush within the depths of her chest, since this was the first time that she had set a foot upon a landmass other than Dawn Island. Also this was the first time she could do what she wanted, go where she wanted and mingle with people to her heart's content. Her passionate spheres quickly moved within their opaque, fibrous layers as they observed the people roaming the town. Looking at them she hoped that they were different from her parents, who judged people by their wealth and considered everything else meaningless.
Noticing the blithely smiles most people carried, the young blonde, however, was assured that this place differed greatly from her former home, where wealth was the only value. Gazing at her one at this very moment wouldn't have been able to guess that Sela originated from a noble family that is related to the current King of Goa Kingdom, since the honey haired teenager currently looked like a commoner that had had a rough night. Seeing her own reflection inside one of the closed windows, her motions came to an abrupt halt as she started to run her fingers across her golden mane in an attempt of taming her disheveled hair by tying them up into a pair of pigtails before she then once again placed her hat on top of her head. Turning away from her mirror image a large, wooden sign reading "tavern" entered her field of vision. Not hesitating the slightest moment she rushed into the building, longing for a meal capable of reconciling her rioting stomach and which she didn't have to cook herself.
Cooking for yourself was more than a minor change, if one was used to complex meals prepared by famous chefs and after being forced to prepare her own meals for almost three years now, Sela definitely had had enough. Fortunately she had taken quite a few Beli with her when she escaped the golden cage created by her parents' distorted view of the world. Sitting down she quickly scanned the menu before ordering a large portion of meat mixed with different vegetables. Waiting for her meal to arrive she kept wondering how it would taste, since it contained ingredients she hadn't heard of before. Sure, it most likely wouldn't be capable of competing with the luxury dishes she received at the mansion, but good food definitely wasn't worth living a life in chains. |

474 "A sailer whent to sea sea sea to see what she could see see see!" With her eyes set on a store, or rather, any store that would sell maps, Yumi walked through the small crowds in the village. It was nice being in such a calm place again. She'd hope for a feeling like this back in Shell town, but the marines who inhabited the island clearly weren't wanting any of that. They just had to lock the docks down and force her to steal a boat...heh, look at her, making excuses like a real pirate. Her parents would be proud. According to her grandma even they needed to steal a ship or two in the past, and boy if they had as much fun as she had doing it then more power to 'em! It was a rush and she loved it. Sadly, she also knew that sooner or later these actions would catch up with her, and even as she enjoyed the pleasant peace of this small village, she realized that one day, she'd be having to stick to the alleys so no one could recognize her face.
A small price to pay for freedom, she supposed.
"Okay...if I spent 50 beli on maps and 20 beli on a compass...maybe one of those wind direction..." Her thoughts were interupted as a pleasent scent caught her nose. Her eyes following her nose, she spotted that fateful sign. "Tavern". The red head licked her lips in desire and near lust for some good meat her feet just began to move towards the tavern. Oh it had been so long since she'd had a real meal, all burnt fish and any birds she could manage to snipe out of the sky and sail to before they sank to the bottom of the ocean. As she found herself draw closer to the door, she forced herself to stop. "N-no...we need REAL supplies, no wasting food on meals like...this..." Her eyes just glanced into a window as a waiter seemed to be taking a steaming plate of meat and potatoes. Would it really be so wrong to buy a meal?
...Screw it. Shura was probably wasting her lot on booze anyway.
Sliding inside she quickly noticed that only one seat was empty, opposite...well, a rather cute little blonde. Yumi could tell from her skirt and bikini top outfit that she probably wasn't from around here. Even more of an excuse to sit opposite her, they were both strangers to this place. Eagerly hopping over, she pointed at the empty seat opposite. Heck if this worked out well she'd get a cute blonde to share a meal with before setting sail again. "You mind if I sit here? Place is pretty packed for the lunch hour." CODED BY SYLVIE

MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | Waiting for her order to arrive Sela let her gaze wander across the brimmed taproom that buzzed like a bee hive as reams of people simultaneously talked to each other. The omnipresent mumbling, which others might have considered annoying, actually was an experience the flaxen topped female found enjoyable, since it was so different from the stiff parties hosted by nobles. Even though the many different voices and noises kept clashing, creating a dissonant melody, the blonde considered their song still way more pleasant than the dense veil of silence that usually engulfed the events of nobility. The people filling their stomachs and enjoying themselves inside the tavern ranged from native inhabitants to sailors that visited the archipelago for different reasons. Given the fact that some of them had weapons openly dangling from their belts, the honey haired woman was positive that not all the people inside this chamber were just simple farmers and merchants.
Still unaware of the reward her parents had offered for her return, Sela didn't waste any further thoughts on the people surrounding her, since she was convinced, that no one would rob or harm a woman broad daylight with so many witnesses around. She further believed that her parents had given up on her and instead adopted a new child in order to increase their influence. The swift approach of a waitress then kicked Sela out of her thoughts as she expected her order to be delivered. Instead of the meal she desired, the young girl, however, delivered a drink that she handed over along with an softly spoken apology. "Sorry, but your order will take a little bit longer since we're struggling with all the incoming orders. Please accept this drink as an apology and forgive us for making you wait." The glass filled with what seemed to be some kind of juice had just touched the wooden table, when Sela's lips parted.
"Oh, no need to worry. I'm not in a hurry." The kind words and gentle smile she threw at the waitress were sincere, but nevertheless were betrayed by her growling stomach, which caused her to flush deeply while the waitress started to laugh cheerfully. Slightly ruffling the back of her head, she saw the young female off as she disappeared within the crowd, most likely making her way to the next customer in order to apologize. The girl had just left when another female caught the blonde's attention. A ruby topped girl that seemed to be about her age entered the already full room and almost immediately started to approach her table, which offered the only free chair inside the entire tavern. Pointing at the free seat her voice resounded. "You mind if I sit here? Place is pretty packed for the lunch hour." Displaying a cheerful smile Sela raised her voice. "Just go ahead and make yourself comfortable. It truly is amazing how many customers this place got."
Gazing at the redhead it was quite obvious that she wasn't a native to this village as her attire's style differed greatly from the other townspeople she had seen as she had made her way across the place. Waiting for the female to sit down Sela once again began to speak. "You're a tourist as well, aren't you?" Her voice carried a cheerful tone, making it obvious that she didn't mind some company during her stay in this tavern. |

000 "A sailer whent to sea sea sea to see what she could see see see!" "Just go ahead and make yourself comfortable. It truly is amazing how many customers this place got."
The red head gave a sweet smile as she was allowed the seat, plopping down and resting her arms on the table, even stretching out a little. Sure their boat was nice but they didn't exactly have the comfiest furnishings on it yet. Note to self, get comfy chairs and some nailed down beds...or maybe just replace the hammocks. Whatever was in their budget at the time. Of course none of that really mattered right now, she was just glad to be comfy and sitting across from someone she hoped would be pleasant company, who also seemed to be smart enough to guess Yumi wasn't from around here either.
"Tourist? Heh, I guess you could say that. I am just visiting afterall. How about you? That bikini top and skirt don't exactly pin you as a local either." Yumi grinned a little, slightly glancing the girl up and down as she mentioned her outfit. She seemed to pull it off really well, another thing the blander locals didn't seem like they'd be able to do. "Personally I'm just stopping by, maybe getting a bed for the night, but I'm mainly here to get some maps and navigation gear. Me and my first mate have been sailing blind for a few days now and we have zero chance of navigating without them...heck even with them I hardly like our chances."
Waiting for any response from the other girl or perhaps even her own story for being here, Yumi glanced around the tavern wondering if the waiter would come back around anytime soon.

MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | Sela's hazel shaded spheres quickly moved within their opaque, fibrous layers as the young navigator carefully examined the redhead's slender frame. Her body, which definitely could be considered attractive, might have lacked flamboyant scars that hinted at her participation in battles, but the fact that it was well-trained and the two, somewhat larger holsters hanging from her belt allowed the assumption of her being more than just a tourist. The noble, however, got kicked out of her thoughts when the crimson topped female raised her voice in order to answer her previously stated question. Her words caused the navigator's already passionate orbs to sparkle even more as her curiosity was fueled. It seemed like the attractive woman had a ship of her own and was in desperate need of someone capable of navigating, which was exactly what she had been looking for: a ride that allowed her to continue her exploration of the world while indulging in her passion.
Even though this resembled one of those predestined encounters she knew from books, the flaxen topped teen didn't just disclose the fact that she had hoped for such a meeting. "Ha ha, I guess I stand out more than I imagined. The people here aren't the most fashionable ones, are they? But yeah, I'm tourist." Taking off her hat Sela quickly ran her right hand through her golden mane, before then placing the item on the table in front of her. "So you need navigation gear, huh? I wonder if they sell that kind of stuff around here, since I haven't seen any shops aside from the obligatory ones providing what people need on a daily basis. Where are you heading?" Lightly tapping her chin Sela kept wondering if there was a chance of purchasing such gear in a small town like this. Even if a store offered maps, they would most likely depict nothing, but the area surrounding the archipelago.
Enjoying the redhead's company the blonde had no idea that a small group of bounty hunters had arrived in Syrup Village several minutes ago. The group of shady characters, which had already taken care of their ship, was now heading straight for the lively tavern where the two women still waited for a chance to get something to eat. After what had felt like hours of waiting a waitress finally approached the table, delivering Sela's meal. Little did they know that their cheerful conversation was going to be disturbed soon. |

321 "A sailer whent to sea sea sea to see what she could see see see!" Yumi sighed as the girl before her talked about her odds of actually finding any navigation gear. In truth, she wasn't expecting much herself, but she and Shura needed as much help as they could get. Even if all they got was a map of the local area, that was a good few miles they could safely traverse rather than sail through blindly, hoping the winds kept them on the same course. Her head no rested on her crossed arms, feeling a little defeated so early in her journey.
"What we really need is a navigator..." Her honey eyes gazed up as a delcious meal was brought over to the table, instantly her mouth began to watered at the mere scent, licking her lips and looking over, hoping to soon have such a beautiful plate of food laid before her too. "Er, hey waiter, I'll have-"
Her words were interupted as a loud slam sounded throughout the tavern, all eyes turning to the now kicked down door. A small group of men walking in with cocky smiles and faces that just screamed "Punch me". Nevertheless the bar full of townsfolk didn't seem to be looking for a fight, and all turned their backs to the men, hoping they would be ignored. The leader of the new group turned straight for the bar, grinning as he rested over it, placing down two pieces of paper.
"Hey, I'm looking for these girls, you know anythin doll?~"
Curious as to what was going on, Yumi leaned up from her seat, looking over the waiter's shoulder. Though she couldn't make out who was on them, she recognized the print on the paper. Bounty posters! Oh no...
Without a word to her new friend, Yumi dived beneath the table, making a loud "SHHH" noise as she hid. CODED BY SYLVIE

MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | Yumi's words, which expressed the redhead's desperate need of a navigator made the honey haired girl wonder if this wasn't the right crew to join after all. It wasn't the fact that they seemed desperate, but the disappointment within her bright orbs, which mirrored the female's desire to travel the world. With her meal finally arriving at the table, Sela couldn't, help but instantly grabbed the knife and fork in order to carefully cut the meat before tasting it. Sure, she wasn't surrounded by nobles anymore, but this didn't mean she had to abandon the rules of etiquette. The constant buzzing created by the conversations of reams of customers, suddenly fell silent when the door slammed open, violently unclosed by a group of rough looking males that immediately became the focus of everyone's attention. After examining the newly arrived individuals, most of the people quickly averted their gazes, obviously afraid of getting involved with them.
Taking a look at them, Sela watched how one of them approached a waitress, tightly holding two pieces of paper that appeared to be wanted posters. Convinced that it hadn't anything to do with her person, she quickly averted her eyes, once again focusing on the dish in front of her. She had just guided another piece of meat past her peachy lips, when the raven topped male, who had approached the waitress, suddenly raised his voice, causing it to echo across the room. "Hey, I'm looking for these girls, you know anythin doll?~" Seeing the redhead in front of her slowly sinking beneath the table, she slowly raised a brow in awe while calmly chewing on the tasty piece of flesh. Not seeing the foreigner, who most likely was a bounty hunter, showing the wanted poster to the scared waitress, who then in return pointed a finger at the crimson topped female sitting across Sela. The fact that her counterpart suddenly slid beneath the table, apparently hoping to remain unnoticed, the young noble felt her guess confirmed, that she had made the acquaintance of a pirate. Getting lost in thoughts concerning the redhead in front of her, Sela accidentally chocked on her meal, starting to cough as a result of having food stuck in her throat for a moment. Keeping coughing, she heard quick footsteps approaching the table. "HAH! We got you, thief!" The blonde, who had just reached out for the glass of juice in order to calm her throat, directed her gaze at the unpleasant voice's origin only to see the bunch standing right next to her as they talked to the cherry topped female. In order to examine the strangers. Doing so her gaze, however met the dusky spheres of a bounty hunter, who then suddenly got closer to her as if he was trying to confirm something. The two of them then almost simultaneously recognized each other, which caused the male to quickly raise his voice. "Ey, you're that brat! You're the 100,000,000 Be..." Realizing that this crude guy had been one of the guards she had escaped from about three years ago, Sela unintentionally spit the juice into the male's dusty face.
Not hesitating the slightest moment she then jumped off her chair, grabbing her hat before then kicking the table at the group of men, causing some of them to be hit by the still hot meal. "Let's get out of here!" Directing those words at the redhead she started running towards the next table, almost effortlessly jumping on top of it in aiming to escape from the crowded tavern.

494 "A sailer whent to sea sea sea to see what she could see see see!" Despite Yumi trying to crouch and hide beneath the table, the bartender still pointed her out. Great, a town of cowards. She never would have gotten this back home, everyone was part of a team there. The odd now and then they'd have a pirate make shore, and so long as he didn't cause a ruckus, was pleasent company, and brought trade, no one would bat an eyelid. The pirate would be another part of the family and no one would give them to the marines. Not here though, so long as the guy looked enough, you pointed out whoever they were asking for.
"I swear if I get out of here I'll-"
As she spoke, the bounty hunters had already made their way over, the red head captain now cursing herself for even speaking, biting down on her tongue and hissing quietly, hoping they hadn't noticed her. Until they actually looked under the table she swore she would not acknowledge them, but as they spoke, it seemed proof enough that they had found what they'd come for...
And then they found something akin to a bonus prize.
As Yumi listened a moment of pure silence seemed to pass, as if she was stuck in time as it hit her. 100,000,000 BELI!? Who the hell was worth that much and WASN'T on the grand line!? Who was this girl she'd decided to spend a lunchtime with!? Of course, she had little time to actually think as her hiding place was kicking in the face of the bounty hunters, the blonde running off ahead. Any words that got said beyond that were a blur to her as she saw her chance and just ran, her boots thumping down on the now overturned table and the bounty hunter beneath as she rammed past one of his crew, stealing a sword loosely hanging in his belt as she ran past, slamming the tavern door behind them, and jamming the sword into the ring handle, angling it so it would stop anyone pulling it open from inside.
With deep gasps of breath, her shocked, wide eyes turned to the blonde. She wanted to ask her about her bounty, how she earned it, what on earth she was doing in one of the blues, but just as she was about to speak, a loud thump on the door behind her jolted her into remembering now was NOT the time to dally. Looking up the path, the docks were a clean shot from here, a clean break for it and they could set sail. With a final glance to the "tourist" she spoke.
"You wanna stay safe? Come with me." And with that she just ran, making a break for it with a hand on her right pistol, ready in case anymore thugs popped out to get them. CODED BY SYLVIE

☒ | @yumi | ✐ | 424 | ✉ | sorry to keep you waiting |
MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | Standing on top of the table Sela waited for her new acquaintance to start moving before she then jumped off the same and dashed towards the exit. Why did this have to happen? How could this even have happened? Swiftly making her way across the room her mind kept rushing in an attempt of understanding how she could have encountered one of the former guards hired by her parents in a place like this. A light frown spread across her delicate face as her roaring stomach suddenly reminded her of the wasted food while her slender approached the door. Arriving in front of the wooden portal she didn't hesitate to kick the same open before then rushing out of the building. Doing so she waited for the girl's familiar crimson mane to pass through the entrance before she then helped her block the door with a stolen saber. With a guy like that being amongst the group of bounty hunters, the blonde was well aware that they meant more than just a little bit of trouble.
The way they had treated the innocent townspeople only to get information on the ruby haired girl's whereabouts made it obvious that they were nothing, but thugs trying to make a mint. Wondering what the wanted redhead could have done in order to end up on a wanted poster, Sela directed her hazel spheres at the female, only to end up meeting her somewhat shocked gaze. Realizing that she had most likely heard the brute mention the ridiculously high reward her parents apparently promised those that were to take her back home, the young noble couldn't help but smile shyly as she kept waving at her new partner in crime. The two of them were dashing across the town and towards the port when a loud noise indicating that the blocked door was sooner or later going to give in to the violent force of their pursuers. Running as fast as their legs could carry them, the two of them soon reached the docks. Sela's expression turned into a relieved smile when the crimson topped woman's voice reached her ears, offering her safety.
They had just arrived at the small port when a deafening noise suddenly echoed across the town's streets as the tavern's massive door was forced out of its frame joints and sent flying into the wall of a neighboring building. Stopping her motions Sela directed her gaze at the distant pub, hoping that she hadn't caused the poor people of Syrup Village too much trouble. |
